  • Your boss calls and you are at the doctors with Dad?
  • You find mom fell days ago, is hurt, but hasn’t told anyone?
  • The hospital calls and says mom must be discharged but can’t go home alone?
  • You sibling flies in from out of town, fires caregivers, and leaves?

How are you going to talk about what is happening?

  • With Mom or Dad
  • With siblings
  • With relatives who only want to see their idea worked
  • With the rest of the world that doesn’t get it

Do you know when and how to be involved ?

  • Doctors
  • Lawyers
  • Accountants
  • Financial Planners
  • Conservators
  • Therapists
  • Caregivers
  • Assisted Living Facilities
  • Skilled nursing Facilities
  • Hospice
  • …and Coaches

What do you do when Mom refuses to participate or be reasonable?

  • She won’t talk about it
  • She accuses you
  • She doesn’t want to take her meds
  • She won’t see the doctor
  • She berates your father (and others) to the brink of abuse

Are you ready for the cognitive decline or Alzheimer’s?

  • What can you do when they make no sense?
  • What happens when he/she gets belligerent with you or caregivers?
